Have you been feeling like you haven’t been looking your best lately, but aren’t sure where to start? Well, you might be making some mistakes in your grooming routine! We’ve put together together a list of mistakes that men tend to make in their grooming routines, as well as men’s grooming tips. Adding just one of these things to your routine can help you see a huge difference in the way you look and feel!

1. Not realizing that as you’re getting older, so is your body.

Ignoring the signs of aging is one of the biggest mistakes that you can make. Your body requires more maintenance as it gets older, not less. So, if you can’t remember the last time you went to the dentist or got a haircut, maybe now is the time to do so! The only way you’re going to stay well-groomed and looking young is if you put in the effort to do so.

2. Not understanding how important it is to take care of your entire body.

There are so many factors that go into looking well-groomed, and not all of them involve hair. You have to be thinking about things like:

  • Your diet
  • Getting enough sleep
  • An exercise routine
  • Stress & addictions

3. Having unkempt eyebrows, too much ear hair, and unruly nose hair.

All of these are crucial parts to looking well-groomed each day. You’re going to look much more well-groomed if you keep up with these things!

4. Forgetting about your body hair.

Don’t forget about your chest hair and back hair! Some men have a lot of hair there, and if that’s something you like then that’s perfectly fine! However, if it’s something you’re self-conscious about… get rid of it! That hair can easily be trimmed, shaved, or waxed. It doesn’t have to stay there if you don’t want it to!

5. Not taking care of your skin.

There are so many steps to taking care of your skin. First off, it’s extremely important to wear SPF any time that you know you’ll be outside for more than a few minutes. The over-tanned and burnt look might look attractive to you now. But, 10 years from now when your skin is starting to wrinkle earlier than it should and you’re at a high risk for skin cancer, you’ll wish that you would have worn SPF.

Another crucial step to taking care of your skin is keeping it moisturized. Even if you have oily skin, it’s important to get moisture into the skin. The key is finding one that works for your skin type, whether it be dry, normal, combination, or oily. There’s a product out there that will work for you!

Going along with that, it’s also important to keep your entire body moisturized and taken care of.

6. Not keeping up with a shaving routine.

Sure, a full beard is great. But a messy one? No thanks! Even if you like to keep a full beard, it’s important to keep the edges of it groomed and trimmed.
